  12. THE SHAREWARE CONCEPT

  14.   Shareware is licensed commercial software which the authors make available
  15.   on a try-before-you-buy basis.  Users may evaluate a Shareware product for a
  16.   period usually between 30 and 90 days, by the end of which they must either
  17.   pay for the product (known as Registration) or stop using it.
  18.  
  19.   Copying of Shareware, subject to the above conditions, is not only allowed,
  20.   it is encouraged.  Pass copies on to interested friends and colleagues.
  21.   Shareware authors rely on the integrity of users to abide by the conditions
  22.   of the license, and register the product if they want to continue using it.
  23.   Many, like ARK ANGLES, also give added benefits to users who register.

  26. ABOUT THIS PRODUCT

  28.   This program is Shareware, and may be freely copied and distributed subject
  29.   to the terms described in the VENDINFO.DIZ file.  The program may be tried
  30.   out for up to 60 days without charge, after which time users should 
  31.   register it or cease to use it.

  33.   Note that Shareware does not mean Freeware or Public Domain.  This program
  34.   is licensed software, and copying or using it without paying for it, except
  35.   as provided above, is a breach of copyright.

  38. WHY REGISTER?

  40.   As stated, the license for this product entitles you to try it out for up to
  41.   60 days.  Use of the unregistered product beyond that period is a breach of
  42.   copyright and is against the law.  But apart from the legal obligation,
  43.   there are many benefits to be gained from registering.  You will receive:

  45.    o  a copy of the latest version of all utilities, plus
  46.    o  bonus software, plus
  47.    o  12 months free support from the author, plus
  48.    o  periodic news and upgrade information, plus
  49.    o  the satisfaction of supporting value software through Shareware.

  52. PRICING

  54.   Registration is A$29, US$24, £15, Dm40, ¥2400 shipped anywhere in the
  55.   world.  Wholesale and quantity discounts are available.

  57.   Registration gives a license for use of the program by one user or on
  58.   one machine, and entitles you to all the benefits listed above.  Special
  59.   licensing arrangements are available for schools or businesses or anywhere
  60.   there are multiple machines or users at the one site.

  62.   Updates are released regularly, and unregistered copies of the latest
  63.   version are available from ARK ANGLES for just a shipping charge of $5
  64.   each, or from many good Shareware vendors.

  69. HOW TO REGISTER

  71.   Nothing is simpler.  We accept cash (of course), cheques (but may wait for
  72.   them to clear if they are large amounts), credit cards (Bankcard, Visa or
  73.   Mastercard only), bank drafts or postal/money orders.

  75.   Credit cards will always be billed in Australian dollars (A$) so you get
  76.   the latest and best exchange rate.  Cash, cheques, drafts etc can be in
  77.   Australian dollars or your local currency.  Calculate local currency prices
  78.   from any of the published International prices at the current exchange rate.

  80.   There are four easy ways to register:

  82.   1. PHONE:  Get your credit card ready, and the details of your equipment as
  83.      listed in the ORDERFRM.TXT file.  Then call (047)588100 for Australian
  84.      customers or Intl+61-47-588100 for International customers, and leave
  85.      your ordering information with the operator or answering machine.

  87.   2. FAX:  If you have a fax card on your computer, then simply edit the file
  88.      ORDERFRM.TXT with all the necessary information, otherwise print it and
  89.      fill it in manually.  Make sure all your credit card info is there, then
  90.      fax it to (047)588638 for Australian customers or Intl+61-47-588638 for
  91.      Internaitonal customers.

  93.   3. POST:  Print ORDERFRM.TXT and fill it in.  Include credit card details
  94.      or a cheque, draft or money order, and post to ARK ANGLES at
  95.      P O Box 190, Hazelbrook NSW 2779, Australia.

  97.   4. E-MAIL:  Insert ORDERFRM.TXT into a note, fill it in with your credit
  98.      card information, and send it to 100237.141@compuserve.com on Internet

  113.   Support is given to unregistered users during the 60 day trial period, and
  114.   to registered users for 12 months.  This includes direct access to the
  115.   author and/or distributor by post, phone, fax and e-mail, plus notification
  116.   of fixes and new releases.

  118.   Feedback about all our programs is always appreciated.  The first registered
  119.   user to suggest a new function or other improvement will, if the suggestion
  120.   is adopted, receive a free upgrade to the first version that includes that
  121.   function, in addition to any other upgrades they are entitled to.

  124.   purposes or customers, or whole new applications can be developed as

  140.   ARK ANGLES warrant the physical disks and related printed matter to be free
  141.   of significant defects in materials and workmanship, and that the program
  142.   works largely in accordance with its documentation.  This warranty is
  143.   effective for 3 months from date of registration, and is not transferrable.

  145.   No liability is accepted for any loss, damage or inconvenience caused by
  146.   the use of this product.  No warranty is made that it is suitable for any
  147.   particular person or purpose.  If this product is useful to you then please
  148.   register it, otherwise don't use it and don't pay for it.

  150.   In any event, the liability of ARK ANGLES is restricted to either a refund
  151.   of the registration paid, a replacement of the physical disks and/or printed
  152.   matter, or the provision of an upgrade to the latest version.
